BAMENDA I COUNCIL BRIEFS ON 2023
We held on the 19th of November 2022 a budgetary session for the year 2023 and voted a budget which stands at a balance in revenue and expenditure at seven hundred and seventy nine million, four hundred thousand francs CFA (779,400,000FCFA) which is divided as recurrent revenue, recurrent investment, recurrent expenditure and investment expenditure. This budget is aimed at realizing several projects in the year 2023. Amongst these projects are Extension of electricity from Ntoh to Ntahmeleh to Nkah quarters, Equipping of the Bamenda I Sub Divisional hospital theater, Supply of a grader SHANTUI, Opening and grading of road and construction of culverts from Ta Tighe’s entrance through Pa Ndifor to GTHS Bamendankwe and Construction of a borehole with a solar pump at the Bamenda I market/park just to name a few.
Mayor Mbigha Njah Felix assured that there will be constant supply of water in Bamenda I Council area as the Council has been working on that since 2021 while also working to beautify Bamendankwe and the Gas Plant under construction at Ntahfubuh is thanks to the peace and tranquility that we have within the municipality.
The council is also projecting income generating activities as well as employment opportunities for the youthful population of Bamendankwe.
